Proof south: the nowhere print collective

As Printmakers the proof is the image we make prior to editioning a series of prints taken from a matrix of wood, lino, metal or mesh. It’s the image which best represents the final concept of what we need to communicate visually to the viewer. Proof is also the evidence presented that convinces the mind that something is true. Sometimes we will only need one proof to deliver our vision, sometimes need many variations of proofs to get us to that point.
These shows demonstrate the many varied techniques and processes that the ‘nowhere print’ collective and friends utilise to present their views and the worlds they exist in.
