Clarence Jazz Festival Day 5
A limited number of tickets are available on the door for tonight’s Jazz Lounge Concerts.
With a twilight concert and the opening of the Jazz Lounge at Rosny Farm, it’s a degustation menu for the ears.
Montagu Bay Park (free)
- 6-7pm: Paul Martin Quartet
- Traditional jazz swung high by these veterans of the jazz scene.
- 7-8pm: Roz Pearson and Deluxe
- Roz takes us on a journey through the vocal stylings of some of the leading ladies of the jazz era.
- 8-9:15pm: Blues Point ($10 or $15 for both)
- Australia’s premiere vocal jazz group featuring Clarence Jazz Ambassadors at large George Washingmachine and Dan Barnett. The repertoire ranges from jazz standards by Irving Berlin and Gershwin through to the hits of Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Joe Cocker, Elvis Presley and Queen that have been arranged specially for the group by some of the top arrangers.
- 9:30-10:30pm: Mike Field (Canada) ($10 or $15 for both)
- Jazz trumpeter and composer Mike Field is known for his bright, upbeat and energetic music. His newest album, Attic Jump (2015), reached the top of the Canadian jazz charts and was nominated for two global Independent Music Awards (IMAs) and two Toronto Independent Music Awards. His previous album, Rush Mode, won five Aurora Awards, two Independent Music Video Awards (IMVAs) and was also nominated for two IMAs.
