Plastic Animal: Gabbee Stolp

Plastic Animal explores the impact of human actions on the non-human world through the fusion of natural and manufactured materials. The viewer is presented with a collection of small objects suggestive of future relics from the Anthropocene epoch when human detritus has become part of the natural order. Through this series of faux artefacts the artist hopes to raise questions about the role of human beings within nature and asks whether our impacts on the planet are themselves a part of nature.
