Twenty-five Chains: Jenny Dean and Gaby Falconer
Twenty-five Chains explores historical accounts of settler’s lives in South Eastern Tasmania. Jenny Dean and Gaby Falconer’s work particularly emphasises the ongoing impacts of early European settlers on the landscape and society of this region. Falconer depicts this through a series of woodcuts while Dean uses drawings and sculpture to depict the invasiveness of her ancestors on the landscape. Both artists explore new conversations which respond to Tasmania’s past.
