We are pleased to host local writer, teacher and trivia host-with-the-most Owen Tubb at our delightful Rosny Farm lawn for the launch of his new book, Nogard the Dragon.
Owen is a primary school teacher from Bellerive, in nipaluna/Hobart. Over the past 15 years, Owen has spent lots of time reading and sharing amazing illustrated children’s books with his students, and at home with his two daughters. He is hoping that his first children’s book, Nogard the Dragon, will be enjoyed by many.
Nogard the Dragon grew from asking the questions: do other people see us differently from how we see ourselves? And does that even matter? Should we stay true to ourselves even if no one else can see it? The characters of the Chinese Zodiac were the inspiration for the setting and personalities in the story. It’s an interesting quirk that out of all 12 animals in the Chinese Zodiac, the dragon is the only mythical creature…
