Stitching and Design with Verna Stoneman

VERNA   is a recognised  Textile Artist who currently creates fabric sculpture.

Verna’s experience covers a wide variety of artistic endeavours including painting, drawing, stitching and ceramics.   She has exhibited with the Stitching and Beyond Travelling Exhibition, and in the Long Gallery.

The workshop will cover the principles of design, playing with stitches and building up texture with threads and colour on calico.

Bring your sewing kit, scissors, a hoop if you have one, and all your threads – different sizes, textures, different sized needles.  Calico if you have some, otherwise there will be some available at the centre. Pencils and paper for designing.

Cost $30 Members  $35 Non Members.
