Nothing sounds as good as the truth feels: Kelly Nefer

‘Nothing Sounds As Good As The Truth Feels’ examines the power of action, transformation and change, and some of the forces which fight against these.

These concepts will be explored through an installation of ceramics, metalwork and a durational component, in which the audience will have the option to participate.

This work also involves issue 01 of Just Us Journal (and the launch of Just Us Press). Just Us Journal brings together personal stories, interviews, written material, artworks and resources from a diverse range of community members. Despite their varied perspectives or interests, each contribution relates to the concepts of action, transformation or change, and seeks to support the reader in their own journey.

Kelly Nefer (she/her) is a lutruwita/Tasmania based artist currently working within photography, ceramics, print, video & sound. Within her works she explores themes of empowerment, healing and transformation, with a desire to assist momentum towards greater social, environmental and ecological justice.
