Exhibition
Asemic
Enigmatic mark making from materials collected in Tasmanian forests and from the foreshores of Ulverstone, St Helens & Gordon; print, stitch, dye and more, on paper and cloth.
Beth Verschoyle, Aukje Boonstra and Mahdi Chandler have been meeting in each other’s studio spaces 3 times a year over the past 3 years and have explored their natural environments from the foreshore to the forest with a focus on dye, stitch and construction. The exhibition responds to these distinctive places and the materials found and gathered to work with.
