Backyard: Lissa Greenlees

Backyard is an exploration of the suburban landscape.

What is life in suburbia? Sometimes it’s the way the houses hide their faces from the street, sometimes it’s a walk in the shadows, sometimes it’s the spaces we move through on our way to something else.

These landscapes are snippets of suburban life in different lights – before the sun comes up, sometimes at midday, and also after dark. The streets and houses, trees and paths are the solid facts of the landscape, but light – like time – is always moving.
