Clarence Jazz Festival 2021: Master Classes ~ Billy Whitton

This year we are introducing mind-melting master classes to the Clarence Jazz Festival 2021 program, offering participants the opportunity to delve deep into jazz with one of Tasmania’s jazz masters. Master classes will be open to musicians of any level for an intensive 90 minutes of music within the beautiful sandstone walls of Rosny Barn.

• Billy Whitton Master Class – A master class on jazz guitar styles and blues fingerpicking, including slide guitar, to demonstrate and discuss early and modern blues forms. You will also discuss jazz harmony in relation to guitar demonstrating how jazz and blues come together in all forms of jazz.
