Difficult Terrain: Contemporary Tasmanian Jewellery
Difficult Terrain showcases the work of ten Tasmanian contemporary jeweller/artists as they engage with environmental, social, cultural, historical and personal stories and harness their unique skills to interpret the idea of ‘difficult terrain’. The exhibition brings together Tasmanian Aboriginal elders and non-Indigenous jewellers and features work made from a rich array of materials including metals, natural materials, plastics, porcelain, re-purposed objects and fibre.
Difficult Terrain will be opened at 5.30 pm, Thursday 31 August 2023 with guest speaker Associate Professor Rohan Nicol, Associate Head at the School of Creative Arts and Media at the University of Tasmania
