Petrified Wood. Fossil. Petrified Wood. is an extrusion of the collaborative artwork, Lost Rocks (2017–21) – an accumulative event of mineralogical, metaphysical and metallurgical telling.

Exploring writing, publishing and literary curating as contemporary art practice, artists, A Published Event, Therese Keogh, Mary Scott and James Newitt, question the ways in which absent geologies might come to manifest themselves in everyday life. Unfolding a series of expanded works from printed books, live events, guided walks, artist talks, readings and film screenings, Petrified Wood. Fossil. Petrified Wood. explores the lives of four lost minerals in relations of body, duration and event.
