Paul Snell: Longing for Less

A body of work by acclaimed contemporary artist Paul Snell that has been developed in response to the endless digital noise we are exposed to on a daily basis. We exist in a time of relentless image saturation via various social media platforms. This work will invite the viewer to slow down, take stock and breathe.

The collection of work uses appropriated images to create photographic objects, investigating perception, artifice, and the sensation of the eye. By rhythmically repeating, pairing, overlapping, reversing, and sequencing the viewer is seduced into new ways of reading the photographic object.
