Sky Voltage’s repertoire is composed by Yusake Akai (AKA Ysk). Desperately trying to pleasantly shock his audiences through creative compositions and shredding numerous guitar solos, Ysk has been leading various iterations of the ensemble since 2017. The band currently consists in a trio format of Ysk on guitar/voice, Hannah Macklin on bass/voice and Javier Fredes on congas.
Sky Voltage has previously hosted international mavericks such as Bassidi Kone (Mali), Swooping Duck (AU), Panga Hechavaria (Cuba), Myka Wallace (AU), Scott McConnachie (AU) as it members. The songs of Sky Voltage are sung in three languages so far, namely Japanese, English and Portuguese. These songs are written and performed in an attempt to provide a calm state of wonder with burning and quaking qualities beneath.
Sky Voltage will play one moving show on the Rosny Farm Lawns (please note change of venue + ticket price):
