Craft materials:
- an A4 paper box (or a similar quantity of cardboard)
- a range of Paper (white paper, colours, can be reused packaging, magazines)
- Gluestick
- Plasticine (ideally a small packet of at least 12 colours, or homemade play dough or clay in various colours. If you don’t have access to any of these use objects from around the home to create your character.. buttons, wire, leaves, rocks)
- Sticky tape
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Toothpicks
- A range of drawing tools (e.g. markers, pencils, crayons)
- A few modelling tools sourced from around the house or clay modelling tools: Something to cut with (e.g butter knife), Something very pointy (e.g. a pointy fork), A long fairly blunt stick (e.g. chopstick), Something to roll with (e.g. mini rolling pin, sauce bottle)
Technology:
- A tablet or mobile device on which to capture animations, with the following free apps installed:
- Stop Motion Studio – the free app is fine, but the “Pro” paid version gives a few more options if you want to purchase it.
- FlipaClip (for Android or iOS)
- Padlet (for Android or iOS)
- A device (e.g. computer, laptop or tablet) on which to watch the video demos during activities
- Internet connection for all devices
