Taking Up Space: Emerging Tasmanian Women Sculptors
Taking Up Space artists break through the barrier to deliver a diverse range of sculptural and installation works that take up space, both literally and figuratively. A wide range of materials, including plastic, paper, acrylic, mirror and metal, trophies, water, ice, kelp, and chairs, explore big political and philosophical topics, including housing security, gender, perception and reality, Indigenous heritage, the tension between the public and private, and the political, phenomenological, and conceptual body.
Artists: Angela Anderson (Mary Lapin), Michelle Dracoulis, Hannah Foley, Holly Greaves, Kate Jackson, Cassie Sullivan
